   It was a real battle just to try to win her over. But where there's a will there is always a way and 3 months down the line, she eventually gave in. Its from that moment were we agreed to be seeing each other everyday as long as everything was okay.

   But life is always has surprises of its own. I remember one day her phone was off from morning. I assumed it was maybe because of power challenges the country was going through so it didn't bother me much. But in the evening around 21 hours I received a private call.

Hello good evening I said...
........Hi darling Mildred here...
Oh hi sweetness you got me worried are you OK? I asked
........Yes I am though just wanted to inform you that am working overnight. She said
Ummm working overnight? Which supermarket in Zambia operates 24hrs?
........While our manager decided that we do stock take babe and am one of the people that were picked.
Oh I see but are you sure you are working or it's just because you want to go somewhere else?
.......Babe what kind of a stupid question is that? And the phone got cut!!!

   I tried to call back but received no feedback. I was so tired such that I didn't want to stress myself as I had a journey to prepare for. Early the following morning I was woken up by another phone call from Jim my friend. And he was like boi where were you last night because I only saw our semeki at the club.

Me confused upon hearing those words So I said which club?
Jim: East point boi why are you pretending? Or maybe you were just hiding from me?
Me: Sorry Jim just that I was tired and didn't want to move up and down or get on the dance floor.
Jim: are you sure boi(my friend)? Then why was she just alone with her boss?

   What!! Mildred told me she was working overnight now Jim saw her at the club with her boss? Am I missing something here I thought to myself. How do I tell Jim I was home and this chick said she was working without showing that maybe our awesome relationship was shaking without me knowing?

   The way I brag about our love is something else. Most of my friends even envy me but now its like something isn't right here. I need Jim to tell me everything he saw if at all he saw Mildred of all people at the Club and not her workplace. My mind was rushing and Jim kept saying hello Gift are you there?
